Bigger Than Life Goals
You may not figure out an answer in school or for years later.
Then years after school has finished because life changes or because you never figured it out, you might even start asking yourself, "what will I be when I grow up?" Why do you still wonder what you will be when you grow up? Part of the problem is that you are playing the game almost the same as everyone else.
You are dreaming the same dreams as others.
Your goals are not like they were, instead your dreams grew up, the same as you did.
Have you heard the dreams of the young? When you were a child you could be anything when you grew up.
You could do anything.
You could have anything.
Listen to a child, "I want to be a princess ballerina astronaut" or "I want to be a rock star, President.
" Children do not want to be rich, but they to be able to buy anything they want.
Children believe anything is possible, and they can have anything they want with whatever job they choose.
Never give up on what you really want to do.
The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts.
Jackson Brown, Jr.
What happened to the big dreams? As you grew up, people told you that your chances of being able to take your dream job were slim.
You were told a job that pays better than another.
You are told money is important, and you need to choose a job that pays a certain amount so you can pay bills.
Yet other jobs you are told your dream is too big.
Are you following the herd? Then after a while you settle in, "what I want to be when I grow up" becomes the same as others.
It maybe a slightly different version, but you are afraid to dream too big or too small.
Forget about reaching for the stars, instead your goals become the part of the mass thinking.
Most people only strive and reach for what they know they can achieve.
What is wrong with the mass dream? The problem is everyone starts reaching for the same goals which are pretty tame and average.
People forget about reaching for the big dreams, joining the masses in fighting for the same brass ring.
Reach out above and beyond the masses and reach for the gold ring.
