The dilemma of the busiest person is he or she is more prone to illnesses and the weakening of the body due to lack of physical activity and/or exercise.
Add to this the fact the gym joining fees are skyrocketing and to be able to avail of exclusive club memberships, you really have to shell out a lot.
And most likely than not, since your schedule is as hectic as the President's, the membership will be for naught.
The cure would be home fitness programs.
There are a thousand videos and literature on home fitness programs that one can turn to.
Home fitness programs are actually great especially to moms who have babies that need tending every now and then.
You can easily find time for it whenever you are free like when the baby is sleeping or when the kids are away in school.
The good thing about home fitness programs is that you do not need to buy fancy gym clothes and towels and water containers.
At the same time, you do not need to keep up with the rest of the group, which becomes a bit embarrassing when you feel you are left behind.
What may be required of you is probably a mat, which is always present in a house, a pair of shoes that does not need to be fancy and high-priced, or in the absence of a mat, a clean foot rug will do.
Now you can get a bit technical if you want to by purchasing your own stationary bike or a treadmill perhaps.
You may also be enticed to add hand weights to further tone your muscles.
But of course all of these are optional.
Now the challenge in a home fitness program is keeping you glued to the activities.
Make variations on your exercises or create a specific program for a specific part of the body.
It is imperative that you are kept interested in your exercise endeavors because the moment you lose it, you are back being a couch potato or a TV person.
Keep in mind that you do not need to do this on a daily basis.
Three times a week is ample enough, but if time permits you can extend it.
The more time you spend exercising, the more beneficial to your health it becomes.
Try performing your exercises with your favorite CD playing.
That will boost you up.
Whether it is Sinatra crooning or Nirvana banging their heads, what is important is to keep you moving and enjoying what you are doing at the same time.
